Lakewood alum Fowler making a big difference in training

NEWARK – He’s on a path to enable other folks – in much the way he was assisted.

“As a child,” commenced Denver Fowler, “I would have to say I mainly dreamed of staying a professional athlete or fighter jet pilot. Outside the house of that, I also thought a good deal about turning out to be a coal miner or becoming a member of the armed forces as my grandpa Fowler coal mined his entire life in the point out of West Virginia (just before dying of black lung illness), my grandma Fowler was a Rosie the Riveter, my grandpa Moran was a tank commander in World War II (fighting in two major strategies, Normandy and the Fight of the Bulge), and I had many uncles in the armed service.”

“However, a calendar year or so after significant school,” he ongoing, “I started to reflect on what it is I specifically want to do with my existence. I commenced to feel about all the persons who experienced the most positive influence on me, and most of people persons had been all educators, such as superintendents, principals, athletic administrators, academics, and coaches. It was then I started out to consider about how I wished to be aspect of that, serving as an educator and mentor, and getting a good impact on many others, specifically learners.”
